Brian, when and how did Jesus set up teachers. Don't count on the instructions to the disciples. That was 2,000 years ago and does not apply to today. Preachers and teachers of theology are chosen by mortal men, and evidence of it is every where. Just because a mortal man goes to a seminary to learn the tricks of his trade, does not make him closer to God. That is not to say that man can not draw nearer to God by study and belief, but that is personal and gives him no credence in being a personal representative of God's with more access to His presence than other believers. "Called to be a shepherd of souls". Just who called up such people? I realize that you must protect this concept because, you are convinced you are one such person but, I seriously doubt that you, or anyone else, heard the words from God that they were so special. I do not believe as I do for any sort of protection. In reality you are placing those who say the are "chosen" on a throne of Christian royalty, which of course, can never be. If you want to believe the way you do, fine. You are entitled to your own opinions of how things are but, you do not have the right to attempt to force your opinions upon others. Your beliefs are merely your opinions, and nothing more. You do not rule here, or anywhere else, so back off. State your opinions as much as you want but don't try to pass them off as anything other than just your opinions. Don't you worry about my soul. You, at times, come very close to blasphemy. BTW (I have learned to like this initial thing) I am not nearly as young in Christianity as you seem to think. haqi
