Well, the Y2K transition ("rollover" in decidedly artless vernacular) is going on right now, sweeping across North America and the western extreme of South America. I have this mental image of the discontinuity sweeping around the globe like a luminous orange peel. Once back to the dateline, the planet will have shed a sort of ethereal conceptual husk. I will imagine that the moist luster highlighting the mind-image-planet is hope. May the coming century bring adventure rather than bunkering against disaster. The future belongs to those who reach and risk; those who would protect what they have must forever be contented with the present. Happy new year DARians.
