Happy New Year to everyone from London

I watched a stunning fireworks display from London Bridge.

My Orange mobile was not usable until 00:45 because of congestion. Otherwise no problems.

Come on folks, let's stop this "my science is bigger than your science" stuff and get back to our usual cordial approach.

**OT** I spent 5 years double majoring in English Literature and Political Science. During that time I learned, 1.) to think for myself, and, 2.) that my postitions we're only as valid as my ability to defend them. The several times that I did take hard science classes I was struck by the requirement not to reason but to memorize. All that was required to ace Biology for instance was to memorize the definitions of about a thousand terms. Bored me to tears.
