Eric,

Have a real life Y2K bug to report this morning. My freeware CGI hit log for my site is reporting the year as 19100. At least by going up to 5 digits, it keeps the year numbering in order.

It's the end of the world as we know it but I feel fine.

HNY and HNM!

Alan

Eric,
Thanks for taking the time to respond. Unfortunately cable and DSL are not options currently.
When was the last time you checked the rates in your area? $1,000 per month sounds very high for 256K T-1. MCI/Worldcom quoted me $1,000 per month for a full-blown unfractionalized T-1, i.e. 1.54 mbs throughput. PSI Net quoted significantly less than that (I don't remember) for a 256K fractionalized T-1.
Thanks again for taking the time to answer. I hope that you have a happy and profitable new year.
Stan

Y2K Problem NOT!!
I listened to CNBC yesterday during the short trading day and to various networks during New Year's Eve and into the New Year. I heard numerous reports of no Y2K (or terrorist) problems. Did anyone else detect a tone of UTTER DISAPOINTMENT in the reporters voices?

PS: I did find a real Y2K problem. When I logged in this morning I had a had 14 e-mails. When I went to read them I only found three. Then I found the other 11. They were at the bottom of my date sorted e-mails. They were the Datek confirmations of some of yesterday's trades dated Jan 1, 1969. I checked my account at Datek and it had the right date.

Happy healthy and prosperous New Year to all.

Alan
