Oh who cares? Do the people who would do that matter? If you ignore the people who you perceive as not contributing value to your life- does it matter what they say about you? Is it better to SEE the insults and feel the need to respond? In 3d would you stay in contact with people who were repugnant to you? No you wouldn't. You'd avoid them. If someone at a bridge club routinely insulted you every time you showed up, or said things that were so unpleasant to you the bridge games were no longer enjoyable- would you continue going? No - you'd find a new place to play (or at least I would). Life should be enjoyable, and if you can fill it with enjoyable people, then why not do it? We are forced in 3d to bump up against people who are unpleasant- the crazy people that wander the streets, rude people, loud people, smokers (for me with a history of Asthma most unpleasant)- but THIS is recreation. And I want my recreation to be fun now, intellectual, but fun. You and I can disagree Christine- and we DO. But when we disagree now, I still like you, I still feel like you respect me, I still feel I would like you if I met you in 3d. YOU are the kind of person I want to talk to. I can discuss with you, I can have conflict with you, and yet I don't feel ill will from you, nor (more importantly for ME) do I feel any ill will towards you. Anyway, it's worth a try and so far I like it very much. Plus it will save you TONS of time.
