Well of course the millenium bug has'nt become obvious yet. May not notice any effects for weeks yet till they get to a critical component .Those bugs convert the silicon chips back into basic sand. If you don't believe me, look inside your computer- see all the dust?? Thats the silica those bugs S#!t out.

As for setting your pc right,
My computer, a Dell, came through the new year fine. The "bug" is in Silicon Investor Portfolio settings. (When you are editing a portfolio). It expanded some of the purchase dates from 2 to 4 digits in a way I did not expect.

We had a post New Years party in the afternoon of Jan 1. (Food, coffee, hangover cures, as well as good luck foods like tamales, black-eyed peas, and chinese dumplings.) Several people had stocked up for disaster and were trading recipes for rice & beans and wondering what to do with the 10 gallons of water stuffed in their pantry. Some of these had left Vietnam a quarter century ago and had some idea what disaster could be like, they said a 100lbs of rice was a cheap way to hold off the memories of transit camps. A lot of people went to the mall to use the extra cash they drew from the ATMs.
