"When criminals are executed, priests always officiate, molesting
the delinquents with their presence.

In Prussia the unfortunate victim was led to the block by a pastor,
in Austria to the gallows by a Catholic priest, in France to the guillotine, in America to the electric chair by a clergyman and in Spain to a chair where he was strangled by an ingenious appliance. In Russia the revolutionary was taken off by a bearded Orthodox priest etc.

Everywhere on these occasions they used to march about with a crucified Christ figure as if to say: 'they're only cutting your head off, they're only hanging you, strangling you, putting fifteen thousand volts into you, but think what that chap there had to go through.'"

<<<You can't handle the truth, which is why you hide in the Book of Horrors.>>>

Is this what the Goddess of discord calls the bible. Well now I think your title fits you better than a glove.

Lorrie, the Bible is an historical record as well a book of religion. There have always been wars and violence in the world, besides that which is recorded in the Bible.

You can't justify the bible's Violence.

There have been wars and violence in countries and religions that have nothing to do with the Bible.

The fact is that there is violence in this world, no matter what your beliefs are.

The message of the Crucifix is Death

Yes, Jesus died on the cross, and suffered unimaginable torture and pain. He did this in our place. So that we would not have to experience these things. But He rose again. He washed away the sins of the world with His blood. And returned to life as our Saviour. He took the pain and suffering of this world upon Himself.
