Thanks for the Wright Research Center Link. It is sometimes worthwhile to pause and review the overall operation of Softbank, but Wright's characterization of Softbank seems somewhat simplistic and pretty misleading. For instance, they describe Softbank as follows:

Major Industry: Miscellaneous
Sub-Industry: Wholesalers
Products: Consumer Durables

Pretty amusing.

People might take a look at the following site on Softbank:

sbfinance.co.jp

This is an official Company presentation from Softbank Finance showing 14 positions in publicly traded companies along with historical Softbank Stock price data and even a stock split history for Softbank.

BTW, I calculate a year ending market capitalization of over $107 billion US based on just under 109 million shares of stock outstanding as of Sept 30, 1999. When will Softbank pass Microsoft in market valuation? <G>. Is this unthinkable?
