Just listened to the radiowallstreet.com discussion about MVIS... do a search on the site for MVIS and it will pop up an interview with a JD Aboudhour (don't hold me to the spelling here).. anyway, he brings up MVIS about 35 mins into the audio clip. Not very favorable at all... in fact he thinks shorting the stock is a no brainer at this point and lists his reasons why this is such an obvious short. The problem is he doesn't understand the technology at all... which is obvious from listening to his opening remarks about the LASER in the eye thing (You'll shoot your eye out approach) then goes on to describe shorters as a blessing to average investors for allowing the rest of us poor dolts to realize what the real value of a company is through their selling. When asked if things are so bad why isn't the stock trading a $1... he says because it has a large retail following and if it isn't shorted... since there are no sellers... it will just keep going up. Duhhhh. Market forces are unchecked in the up direction??? Since when?? Oh, and he looks at the current market for display units and says there really is no market per se... really??... wonder what SIMG, SONY et al would have to say about displays? Point here is that this technology will CREATE MARKET OPPORTUNITIES where they don't currently exist just as other tech breakthroughs have in the past (color TV, VCRs, transistor radios, etc etc.) Especially military uses... how are we going to display the data coming in to our new jets??? The current large screen display planned for the F/A-18F will be able to display just 1/100th of ONE of the 11 streaming frames from the new SHARP (EO/IR rece POD). The jet can't carry enough flat plate screen to see much more. A new tech is not desired, it is REQUIRED to break through the conventions of the past. There are so many misstatements, misunderstandings etc to go through that you'll just have to listen for yourself. I STRONGLY suggest that all longs listen to this interview for two reasons... first, if you find youself doubting your decision to buy and hold, this interview will embolden you.. it did so for me. If JD is representative of those who think the opposite of the way I do about this stock, they are uninformed and therefore don't understand the technology nor do they see the vision of what it can become and why it is needed. Second, it also shows the amount of education the company needs to undertake to straighten out folks like JD. If he really believes what he said and isn't doing it because he finds himself short a whole bunch (which would not overly surprise me after listening to him as he is an acknowledged shorting expert) there is yoeman work to do. Kep in mind that the MVIS doesn't start until about 35 mins into the clip. Would like to read comments from those of you who take the time to listen to this interview. CAP
