I haven't read Golden Child-- but it sounds wonderful. Not only that you can buy it for 2.40 through AMazon.
Wow.
Tell me if you think it is the kind of "oh-so-British" writing that we love.

The other author was compared to Umberto Eco, and I confess I had to force myself through "Rose", so might not like this, though it's a great name!!! Iain Pears. Maybe I should try Eco again- I read him when the boys were toddlers and have little memory of anything from those days, and doubt my concentration level was very high.

The description sounds great. Hey- and it's only 6.40. These are incredible prices.

At dinner last night, almost everyone there was in the process of reading a series of books based on a fictional fulfillment of Revelations in modern times. (Most of these people are from my church and pretty religious) There are 6 books out so far, and someone even had a copy of the first in his car, so he ran out and gave it to me, on the condition I call him as soon as I'm done to talk about it. I don't know what to expect.
