I don't believe your statement is accurate, Michael. I only call conservatives "starvers of children", "homophobes" or "racist" when they express ideologies which advocate starving children, fearing/hating homosexuals, or dividing people by race. I do not do this to shut down reasonable debate or discussion, but to encourage it.
