Hello my friend, I can appreciate your feeble attempt at optimism but apparently you have not heard, THEY have declared that this Bull market of all Bull markets must correct sir. Tis a pity you have not heard, apparently you were facing the elevator while most were getting off. I know, I know, things were going along so good, people were happy (though maybe a little too ebullient, because you know how THEY are) and everyone was looking toward the future and everything in it's promise and then something happened, THEY showed up. I don't really know who THEY are but people were telling me that THEY have always carried a lot of weight and when THEY speak you had better listen. I overheard the other day that THEY were very concerned about the Affirmative Action portion of the market, you know, there are just too many stocks that have not participated in the record rise of the markets and because of this we must correct. I know, I know, doesn't seem fair but you know how THEY are. This was relayed too me by an associate but to hear him tell it, THEY are extremely worried by the fact that everyone is just feeling too good and this will just not be allowed, after all, why should anyone feel good about a record economy, low inflation, balanced budget and the lowest interest rates in years. Oh I forgot, that's another thing that just has them frightened to death, those damn interest rates, I mean do you realize that the bond yield is up to a cataclysmic 6.44%! I think I heard them say that if we should get up to over 6.5% everyone would stop buying stocks and rush to compensate for their disappointment by buying bonds, I know, I know, hard for me to believe to, but you know what THEY say. But sir, that is not what I am baffled at, no, no, tis something else all together. The word has filtered out that there is something much more foreboding and to say I am perplexed is quite the understatement, I am absolutely startled but I swear to God, THEY supposedly are most concerned, that the posters here at SI ARE JUST TOO POSITIVE AND FEELING TOO GOOD ABOUT THEIR RECENT SUCCESS AND THAT THEY WOULD FEEL MUCH BETTER IF WE WOULD BE A LITTLE MORE DESPONDENT AND REFRAIN FROM SHARING THAT ENTHUSIASIM WITH OTHERS. I know, I know, hard to understand but I swear that is what I heard THEY said. Voltaire
