I have some more but I have to go look for them. The "Road Wet..." is interesting, you might ask John how he likes it. He ordered it.

Yes, Poets were hot stuff as were Druids. Shanachies were big as well. Met one once; I'm sure there are very few left. The Irish/Celtic legends were oral histories and so story-tellers (shanachies) were big-time. The Tain was the Celtic equivalent of the Greek Illiad.

I have to run, I'll get back on more detail tomorrow. It's difficult, sometimes, to read these books because as you say it's your first go-around. But after you have read a few it starts to jell better. Same with most traditions, I suppose. I used to read oriental histories and at first they were kinda tough to grasp for much the same reasons.

Perhaps if you have a tough time with a concept or train of thought I might be able to help.
