What I've heard is that the tickets for the Fiesta and Orange Bowls have been hard to sell, but that the Sugar Bowl will be packed. This was also the case last year with the FSU-Tenn game having no problem selling seats, but the other two major bowls having a hard time. I think that this is a consequence of the BCS having the top 2 teams meet in the same game. The other two games just lose importance. This effect will only be magnified in a playoff system.
