carefully explained the compelling case for buying CMGI
The problem is, two years ago Grant's also carefully explained the case for buying OTL at 14 (now at 7 3/4), EBF at 8 (now at 7 3/4), and a host of other loser businesses with single-digit PEs (remember gold?). I don't think Grant should hold up CMGI (as he does time and again--I realize in this case you are mentioning a NYT article, but read Grant's ads and they always mention CMGI, but somehow never Ennis Business Forms, about which he was equally bullish) unless he mentions all the losers he has also rec'd to no avail. He also written negative articles on AMZN when it was in like single digits, and DELL when it was at like 15. He is certainly very eloquent though, and "erudite". But he has totally missed the entire bull run. However, he makes a pretty penny off his letter (close to 700 a year now, I think).

Jon,

RE Grant, yes, I am sure he is a nice guy and I was sort of over exaggerating for effect.

I can't seem to pick up the show anyway.
