Jay, thanks for your valuable post, re the value of Nasdaq Japan to Softbank. This reminds me of another point. People in our group are rushing to buy stocks that seem to resemble Softbank. Examples are 9715, Trans Cosmos, which IMHO is a good company and Nomura's Japan Associated Finance Co. on which I've commented negatively before and I still don't like it. But I think the bigger future is not in looking for another Softbank but in picking up the newly issued shares of small but promising companies, especially those in which Softbank has an interest, just after they list on Nasdaq Japan. We need detailed info about them so I'll renew my subscription to Nihon Keizai Shimbun and some other sources and hope to report some of them to our group here after my trip to Japan in March.
