When CW was in the second grade, he turned in a little writing paper and it came back with "cheery" circled and "corrected" to cherry.

We had just started him in this private school, and all I could think was 'oh noooooooo'. I didn't want to alienate the teacher the first week, but I was horrified. Looking back, I really think that moments like these teach children how to respond to certain situations-accept? confront? understand everyone is not perfect?
Unfortunately I can't remember what I did.
