dont worry michelda, many on this thread believe you, although your moves have been truly "unbelievable" in that they have beens so aggressive and your predictions have been "unbelievably" accurate. when i flipped back and read your post from march? stating that you sold your mercedes, i was truly impressed as were my friends, that post convinced several of my friends to take the plunge into softbank.... happy new year and hope that this years predictions are just as accurate.

Michael,...I for one, welcome your input to this board. I have been following your comments on Raging Bull for some time and your enthusiasm has been over the top. Except for one thing, your most outrageous predictions have come true.

The interesting thing is that I have been predicting to myself that Softbank could go to around 120,000 yen in late January just based on extrapolating the charts in a pretty crude, inexpert way. I am not a chartist so I could only bring myself to predict going to $1000/share in late January or perhaps February (that was when Softbank was below $700). The timetable seems to be getting compressed and your prediction of 150,000 yen is not too far beyond my own estimates. Of course at this point, there is a pretty big difference between a 25% upmove and a 50% upmove.

To be fully accepted and welcomed on this board, it would be helpful for you to outline the basis for some of your predictions. Looking back with hindsight, it seems obvious today that Softbank was undervalued just based on their holdings. What wasn't so obvious in those early days (late 1998 and early 1999) was the extent and effect of the debt structure of the Company. Some of this is still somewhat murky.

Also, you have made some pretty expansive claims as to the extent of your holdings in Softbank. It might be entertaining and informative if you could back it up somehow. Not that you need to do it (no one else does) but you have made the claims publicly and it sure makes a good story, especially if it is true. It would make a good story for any reporter who happened to be discussing the internet investing scene and/or Softbank in particular. BTW, you mentioned being named Merrill Lynch's investor of the year or something like that. I had never heard of any such award. Was it announced publicly or was it just an informal designation that your own broker bestowed?

Anyway, between you with your 75,000 shares of Softbank (?) and Netconductor with his odd lot, we have room for a lot of opinions here. I just hope that we can continue to be primarily devoted to solid information and not get innundated with hype here.
