Dotty, It sounds like the problem is in the chart scaling. When some of the price data goes off the chart, it means that the scale is fixed and doesn't include the all the data for the time period showing on the chart. If the the price range is as an example, between 50 and 60, but the actual price has gone between 40 and 70 during the time shown on your chart, some of the candlesticks will disappear both above and below your chart.

You can always avoid this problem by having the auto scale feature selected. Chart-Price scale-auto scale should be checked. If you want to control the scale like I often do, you can drag the prices closer or further apart, and then cursor up or down to center the price. BTW if you inadvertently drag the price scale, auto scale will be deselected. That's probably what triggered your problem.

There is also an icon on the tool bar that you can click on to select or deselect auto scale. It's between the crosshair and the log buttons. Hold your cursor over it, it will say auto scale.

After that lengthy explanation, I hope auto scale is the culprit that's causing your problem. <g>
