I'm glad you mentioned the eiffel tower... I felt the same way - wow! That was beautiful. Number two I thought was DC... did you see that - it started with white lights cascading up the structure... then a background of white fireworks, then red lights - I thought it was as good as Sydney, those singluar tall structures offered a nice opportunity to show off.

The Seattle mayor really screwed up an opportunity - the space needle could have been almost as nice as DC, imo.

Hi Bill,

I thought the millenium Eiffel Tower event was incredibly beautiful...

One of my Christmas gifts was a "clock" set into an "Eiffel Tower" replica, .....I had set it on top of one of my TV cabinets, it was very cool to see the real thing sparkling directly underneath my "mini Eiffel Tower"...
