I believe this guy is hung like a horse and carries a big d,er,stick also: ### Birinyi Says Buy Technology Shares in 2000, NY Times Reports New York, Jan. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Laszlo Birinyi, president of Birinyi Associates Inc., said investors should buy technology shares, even after the Nasdaq Composite Index soared 86 percent last year, the New York Times reported. Part of the growth in computer-related shares stems from the fact that many former growth industries -- such as drug and consumer-growth stocks like Procter & Gamble Co. and Coca-Cola Co. -- are no longer growing, Birinyi said. His top stock picks are America Online Inc., CMGI Inc., Nokia Oyj and Texas Instruments Inc., and he likes Merrill Lynch & Co., Dow Chemical Co. and Caterpillar Inc., the paper said. Birinyi, in a Dec. 13 interview with Bloomberg Television, advised investors to sell Internet and network-equipment shares - - such as AOL, CMGI and Cisco Systems Inc. -- because he said those industries already had rallied on optimism that computers would weather the problems related to the millennium changeover.
