It's something you may want to consider. However, that wasn't my point, so returning back to the issue, which is, there are some people who post their results/trades several months after the fact. While it does not have value to you (you seem to perceive a credibility problem when someone posts their results several months later), their posts have value to me.

My point is, I'd like to see people continue this to a certain extent - i.e. posting their results, even if it's several months after the fact, but preferably right away (not because of credibility perceptions, but rather because the more timely the information, the more useful it may be.)

Hi Amy J, I agree with your comments; the key factor in all of this is that the element of trust has to be in place with trust working both ways: trusting that the poster is telling the truth and the poster trusting that he/she will not be unduly criticized for posting the truth. I think that at this point, the element of trust is mostly missing on this thread; to whit, the reactions to C. Mehr's posting of his portfolio results and to Scumbria's conversion of his portfolio to AMD stock.

Hopefully over time that condition can change. Thanks for your insights. I hope that we will see more of them in 2000.
