Thanks for the site sergio..to end my story, I just sent an email to the professor and his class who did the research study. It will be interesting if I get a response,,never realized the significance of that damn clock<g>,,and if it was in the "Kaisersuite",,well will see..Another part of the story which I didn't mention, in the early 70's we brought it in to be repaired by a clocksmith(a very old German fella) in Conn..Believe it or not,he immediately recognized it,he actually had been in charge of winding the clock while employeed on the ship(talk about a small world). The article I was trying to find(still can't find it) was cut out from the Hartford Courant,,they actually interviewed this guy..My Mom said, when she showed him the clock to ask about repairing it, he started crying,,and showed her a scratch on it he had made when trying to wind it up-drunk<lol>...it literally blew this guys mind<g>...DD
