Don't patronize me, twister. You and yours constantly raise strawmen that are allegedly on the verge of toppling Sun, and they invariably turn out to be just that -- strawmen.

If it's no problem to drop out of the pc business while still making servers, why do your ilk shriek so loudly as workstations become a less important piece of Sun's business?

Sun is in a tough, competitive world. Nobody doubts that. But they have had a consistent message that has proven to be the correct one. They also have held their own against the other "tennis players," with or without your instruction.

Nobody here thinks the world isn't changing. But why assume Sun isn't changing, too? They've also done their share of "intruding." Have you forgotten that Sun is about to release a whole new generation of both software and hardware? It seems to me the linear thinkers are the ones who focus on changes happening in one part of the sector while simultaneously discounting the changes being wrought by the company they've chosen to denigrate.

As for conservatism and thinking the world hasn't changed, isn't that what your hero Buffett is all about? Besides, you're asking us to assume that the situation for Sun will change for the worse "just because" -- that's no more supportable than assuming it won't. And neither position is relevant here.

The network IS the computer, twister. The sooner you figure that out, the better off you'll be.

Of course, the usual disclaimer applies -- JMHO!

The world changes ct. you guys are linear thinkers. you think tommorow, next month, and next year will be like it was (same as it ever was). Well it aint like that. Sorry but reality has a way of intruding.

Better to be a linear thinker than a linear loser, twister. Your intrusion is always looking for a new angle and never coming up with the 'reality' you expect. You're like Wile E. Coyote[1]. You know better than to call us short sighted. What were you calling us 3 years ago?
