Has anyone else been trying ECN arbitrage strategy?

Here is the scenario. Take EWEB today. Heavy ISLD participation. Heavy newbie participation. Near the big turns, each downswing brings traders willing to sell under the bid while each upswing brings traders willing to buy above the ask.

Watching the ISLD book closely, you pick moments when the closest order is well above or below the inside and place an order 1/16th above or below. You get filled and offer back out at the inside. If the swing is smaller than the perceived panic of the trader, you get filled for a decent profit.

Fascinated to see it work today for me. Is it a way to work the greed or not?
