My guess is two contrary forces -- anticipated national market NASDAQ listing has kept prices up, but profit taking on a stock that had a meteoric rise (0.50 to $10! within a few weeks) pushed 'em down.

"End of year" is used to explain everything, here to explain the profit taking. Now in the new year things should stabilize, and go up -- at least if the stock does go national market before the end of February (as it hopes to do), and if earnings (I think also due in February) push the company into profit for the first time, or at least rise significantly. The listing itself should give the stock price a nice kick. Maybe because so many people are expecting that, many will bail immediately after, having made a short term profit.
