<<Let's say the Fed can influence long-term rates>> Well I can live with that.Thanx for the excellent post.
<<So the damned thing rolls on! Uncomprehended. Fussed at. Manipulated. Worried over. A mighty engine to power the world. A mystery! Yowzah!>> God almighty will it ever stop? The threats are every where and enormous. Every one's making money.Every one believes he/she will continue to do so. Now that Y2K's out of the picture there's no stopping the markets in January.....That's what every body has been saying right? All this money is waiting to come into the market after 1/1/00...Every one says so.Funny but I don't know anyone that thought Y2K would be a disaster. Every one I spoke to thought it would be a non event and happy days would go on forever.....I'm fully margined and scared to death.....am I alone?
