I just talked with the Nugget in Reno. They are ready for us whenever we fix a date so let's do that! They will arrange (I love these people at The Nugget) the following: Special room rates even if we want to get some suites. Everyone on the same floor (if we want). An additional room where they will have maintenance come in and set up as many lines as we like. I figure around 10, so we can plug into the internet and get down to business. A big group dinner for the gang (not free but some sort of Piffer special). Ski packages that I'll have to discuss with them later. Not too much snow up there right now and we'll have to see how February looks. Limo rides to and from the airport. The Nugget has a huge indoor pool and spa that is to die for. Also a full massage, nail, hair etc sallon for all. Small exercise room. The shopping there is horrible but who needs shopping? (Wait, who said that?!) I checked for tournaments but I think they run on the wrong weekends for us. The $99 slot is a kick in the pants and would be a lot of fun for us as a gang. The entry is $99 and you play with credits on the machine. Just keep hitting the button with the goal of racking up as many points as possible. Goes in three rounds and the winner gets 5 grand and there are many smaller prizes too. The $1 slot tournaments you play with your own money. Get to keep your winnings and the points are totaled with the most points winning up to 25 grand (me thinks). There is a Black Jack tournament and a Craps tournament. The dates for the above are: $99 slot tournaments: 2/11/00, 3/24/00 $1 slot tournament: 2/6-8/00 Black Jack tournament: 2/25/00 Craps tournament: 2/4-5/00 I'm not available February from the 11th through the 29th :-( So, it could only be early Feb or late March if we wanted to hit a tournament. We don't have to have a tournament to go by any means I just thought it would be an additional thing to do. Do we Piffers need to be entertained? Here is what I need: Who all wants to go and what dates are the best. I think I'll start a PnF Get together thread. Yeah, we can put together all of our schemes there. Someone give me a good name for the thread. From there we will decide the dates to go and we'll have the attendance list. I'll set everything at The Nugget and away we go! The sooner the better. South West is having a lot of reduced fare pricing right now. What do you all think? Reno anyone????
