REITs and PM companies, in general have not been doing so well with the markets. I have not been able to figure this one out. I know that Ontario residential properties have been doing much better since the elimination / modification of rent controls.

...further, the commercial market in Canadian metropolitan areas has been strong for the past few years. There is limited new construction, but there is a notable amount of property repositioning.
