Rookie question on leap symbols after split. I had Q Jan 2002 500 leaps YQJAE. My Etrade account split those 4 to 1, but shows the strike price as "bad" and a current price of 87 1/8. When I try to get a quote on YQJAE it says the symbol does not exist. Then it shows me with 6(?) ZYLAP(?) Jan 80 calls at a current price of 466(?).

Clearly ETrade is screwed up on their prices, but after a split, does each option split just like the stock, and keep its same symbol (e.g., YQJAE), or does the symbol change to correspond to the new strike price and new current price (e.g., YQJAE --> ZYLAP)?

Does any of this make sense?
