> Bondz greetings; I'm an investor with long-term CORE portfolios in stocks and bonds, have been (an amateur) stock index trader for awhile. Recently became interested in learning more about / working with bonds - have been plowing through Fabozzi {grin} I employ a lot of "traditional" T/A, use fibonacci on my charts, and enjoy interpreting candlesticks - especially with indices. In the past, Patsy, I just "sat" on bondz, squirreling away a portion of equity profits on a periodic basis, with a blissful ignorance of what the bond market was doing. Felt compelled to sell bond holdings MAY-99, keeping only 100 very old T5090912 bonds - as this position is my long-term bond CORE basis, sitting in an IRArrangement account - and its ~13% taxable equivalent yield has always been acceptable. I'm using (an inverse chart of) the TYX.X index, and the classic Treasury Bond/Bill Yield Curve . The near target on my chart is... right here. The far target on my chart is the TYX 6.95~7.15 area, fwiw. To play with Bondz, I've set up an account where I can enter and exit a generalized bond fund , and/or the equity market (via an OEX-100 fund vehicle); ie.,BONDfund <--> MMfund <--> OEXfund ...and the 30-day distributions from BONDfund @ 7.5% APR and MMfund @ 5.4% APR can be either re-invested or, cross re-invested to another fund. so {whew!} right now, I have a 10% position in BONDfund @ TYX = 6.72, re-investing BONDfund into itself, cross re-investing MMfund distributions to BONDfund... iow, to accumulate Bondz. On any collapse to TYX ~7.1 - I'll move 20% of additional capital to BONDfund, for a net position of TYX ~6.97 -- on any bounce to TYX 6.4~6.5, I'll exit BONDfund, go flat. -Steve
