Dear Dale: The bulk of my invested funds are taxable (ie not IRA) and I dont like some fund manager deciding when my capital gains will be recognized so I have no mutual funds. I have done exceedingly well though on some Nike Unit Trusts. My technology one is up well over 600% in about 3 years and even my oil and gas is a double but luckily I bought that one when it hit its rock bottom low. I like the closed unit trusts because they never sell a stock until the program ends, usually 6 years. Otherwise, I just try and find the most popular stocks in selected mutuals and buy them myself.
As to the COST that Bill and I like, I am really eager to learn how their sales were for the 12/31 qtr. Bet its really fabulous. JDN
