Maybe they are afraid to raise prices for fear of going out of business. They can always issue stock and bonds if their operations aren't profitable. Of course they need to act quickly because interest rates are going up, up, and away!!!

Peter, that's indeed what it is. the bond market is in a rather bad mood having figured this out. note that the breakout in yields from a big rising wedge formation portends much higher bond yields down the road. soon we will have opportunity to find out at what level asset re-allocation from stocks to bonds will occur...
