Maeling - Could you point out the post where Paul said negative things about Warren Buffet?

Dear Mae:
Thanks for the great post. It added so much to the value of the thread. It also gave me the opportunity to use the marvelous new SI feature: "Ignore This Person". Thanks again. JH

MAELING, nice of you to stop by. Happy New Year. Somehow, we morons have managed to keep a pretty successful investment thread going re Intel and many other topics (~95,000 posts), without your sage advice. Care to stick around and talk about it some more, or are you going to be just another drive-by flamer?

Tony

RE: "I have a son who lives up the street from Paul Engle who ran $500 into $21 million during 1999."

Maeling,

How did he do this?

MAELING - Re: "During 1999 Warren Buffett was able to wipe out BRKa shareholder value by 36%. Does that mean that Buffett sucks at stockmarket? "

Thanks for showing us what a complete FOOL you are.

Warren Buffett started his funds (Berkshire and his private funds prior to the Berkshire era) with near-zero value.

He developed those monies into BILLIONS, even despite the recent downturn in Berkshire, giving his early investors untold profits and increases in their investments.

Tice - in case you haven't noticed - started his Prudent Bear Fund in late 1995 and IMMEDIATELY started incurring losses - up to and including today.

TICE has LOST money for every one of his investors - and has NEVER MADE A PENNY for any one of them.

So that makes TICE and YOU, MAELING, complete FOOLS and Investment Idiots.

Paul

Maeling,

Paul never spoke badly of Buffet, and your analogy(for lack of a better word) is a terrible one. Buffet's BRKa was down one year out of many; a simple case of inevitable regression to the mean. David Tice has consistently proven his predictions wrong, yet has no qualms about continuing to lose others' money.

Re: who ran $500 into $21 million during 1999

You wouldn't mind sharing how he did this would you because, no offense intended, but I believe you are talking out of your a**

BTW, you are now part of an exclusive group......those with whom I use the "Ignore" feature.
