Tero,

any thoughts on palm.net, the service provided on the Palm VII PDA from 3Com (uses 9.6kbps TDMA from Bell South), and also the OmniSky service from Aether and ATT based on the Palm V? Do you consider them viable long term wireless data plays. The Palm VII at least seems to be selling a lot better than other mobile internet services. And, web clipping seems to be a lot simpler and quicker to implement than WAP, albeit it's proprietary.

Happy New Year, Tero.

What are your prognostications for this year? I still remember your predictions for MOT and NOK early last year, which were impressively accurate. What, if any, upheavals in the mobile telecom (or related) industry can we look forward to? It appears that just about any company that is involved in the industry has had its valuation revised skyward lately, NOK included. So, which are the tulips and which are the gems? People are looking so far down the road that you'd need the Hubble to see anything. Expectations are extremely high, and I'm wondering how long before the dam bursts. See any cracks yet?
