Buying a little PKD and VRC; both too cheap by my metrics. got stopped out on some VTS last week and took the tax loss. rotated into some oversold enp's like rgo and epex.

This sell-off was pretty clearly coming. The gains last week were on light volume and many of the buyers were hedging y2k supply disruptions and the possibility of a shortage IMO. Setup a trading short opportunity, but i view the pullback as healthy and necessary. The big picture is still favorable and the valuations compelling.

I'm keeping some powder dry for screaming buy opps or for laying on the short sales in the naz.

boom 2k

[DVN]

Just thought I'd agree with you on this one and add that this company now owns the Pennzoil O & G properties at an extreme discount to the $100/sh offer for the entire company about two yrs ago by UPR. Some real value here (imo) and a good mover today. I own shares as a result of the split up of PZL and subsequent merger of the O & G division into DVN. All that's left of PZL is Quaker State Oil and Jiffy Lube > sure wish they took the $100/sh but DVN provides a pure play now and I'm holding.
