Duane - They are all promo storie really - Just who does it better and CREATES the demand - It is pure marketing

Bottled water is a classic emaple of a demand created whereby Bread is demand created by need.

Demand for otherwise unwanted stocks must be created as they have nothing to offer.

The Book " The Visible Hand" has nothing to do with teh stock market but details the history of marketing and management - Whereby products were once demanded out need and then products were supplied accordingly - Pots pans flour, etc etc.

Then came along the marketing machine and created demand. I know some great stocks that will never fly because they are dull and unpromoted and I will likely not buy them - I will buy a MMI or any stock knowing that the promo machine in moving into gear.

Cheers

Hi Duane,

Re: BNO (and any others): Since I dont long term invest with these kind of plays I dont care what it is (kinda like John was saying). If I find something fundamentally sound with a company I hold some or whatever. Otherwise I'm out with a 40 or 50% gain, hopefully, and before the stock tanks.

I bought some RG-V last week at 0.20 because they hired a new PR guy and I thought he'd get some buying in. I dont really like RG at all, fundamentally, I just played it on gut feel, as well as the noticing of building bids in the high teens.

I don't, and never, have a problem with people stating things are P&D's, if they quantify it with some sorta facts. Most companies are promoted in trying to get a story out. But I do have a real problem with posters spouting misinformation, or posting "gut feels" or "IMO's", without stating they are "gut feels" or whatever, and purporting it as these things are somehow 'fact'. Statments like "there are insiders buying, jump aboard" or "this company is crap, it was just short covering" without any "imo", or "I think's", or "I read on Stockhouse", or whatever, does us no good here and clouds our judgement, imo. We have precious little of that kinda stuff here and that's what makes our thread pretty good, I think. It's also why many of us stay away from Stockhouse's BB's, too. Those boards are atrocious as a DD tool. I actually read a post a bit ago there where a poster stated a gold company had a deposit of 200 million ounces, without a drill hole being complete. Other people on the thread began to actually believe this!!!! I hope none of them bought on that kinda crap. The stock is down and they are currently still 200 million ounces short of that 'prediction'.

Sorry if I sound a little perturbed, and sorry for rambling but I just hate that kinda stuff. Don't you???

Anyway, re: BNO. I have done my DD and watched the trading all Friday. I believe they must have something happening with it (more than just a name change cuz that rarely moves a stock, see: CSG, BIT et al) as it has seemed to enter a promotional cycle. Usually an NR follows a move like this so I am intrigued with it as a momo play and may look to get in tomorrow. Just MO, and if wrong I'm sure we'll see it gap down tomorrow. Right now, though, phnpi.

All mo, and fwiw.

Regards to you, as well,

Dean
