Elmer - Re: "Just found a Y2K bug at Schwab. For those who use the new "Velocity" software, it reports todays transactions as being the oldest transactions rather than the newest!"

Did you report the "bug" to Schwab ?

My guess is that they are a big user of IBM Mainframes .

Elmer, Schwab was also intermittently up and down (couldn't even get to them) about half the time last Friday morning. I was in their office on Stevens Creek Blvd. Friday afternoon and two of their "investment specialists" didn't even know they were having problems. They both had nice Compaq PCs with new flat screens in front of them. I told my wife that I would have sent email to all Schwab employees clueing them in about the problems. Unbelievable that they were in the dark. I'm looking around at other brokerage houses.
