Might be because it's perceived as a value play? Might be because they still hold a stake in Alta Vista? Might just be that market players figure it has some room to run? <gg>

IBM moved up almost 8 points. Dell and Microsoft get positive mention fort Year 2000 and IBM and Compaq go on a tear. Where the heck is the justice here???? Microsoft is off and Oracle is up over 6. It just plain sucks

CPQ is up because they issued a press release saying they were the number one PC maker worldwide, using Q3 '98 data. I guess nobody realized that this was the case until the geniuses at CPQ brought to everybody's attention.
