I agree, it does throw off your NW calc... but my curiosity is why it matters?

NDX/20 is a good approx, but the NDX stops calculating at mkt close, not when QQQ stops trading (at least for us retail traders). QQQ stops trading at 4:15ET; on 12/31, I believe it stopped at 1:15ET. The last trade at 1:15 was 183. At 1:00ET it was 184.75 and the next set of trades after that started at 184.
As a matter of fact, it looks like the last trade anywhere near 185 was at 12:52.
Then there were some at 185.4275 at 12:51.
QQQ tends to trade at a discount to NDX/20.
