drakes,
For one, I did not summons you with a bet. Second, I was making a rhetorical bet against any short. I am however betting with real money on those 10k shares. Keep trading it. It doesn't bother me that money can be made in the meantime. I just have the time to play for fractions or even one point. I'm in it for at least a 4-bagger, maybe more.

Cya in 2 years!

If any company were to go bankrupt a bet of its shares would be worthless. Well not necessarily, a loss based on bankruptcy can offset certain gains depending on certain time limitations for both the loss and the gain being offset. Offsetting gains by losses is a common pratice and widely used by investors.

Excepting the tax loss offset, since any company can possibly go bankrupt then any shares serving as the wager could be worthless. Why would anyone take the bet? Well since any company can go bankrupt why buy any stock?
