oh my gosh Reich is right, the bottom half of society is still the bottom half !! Of course not necessarily the same people. Then he does go on to say the poorer members of society have all but disappeared. I think the rich have disappeared, even with B Gates billions, he owns a smaller percent of GDP than did Rockerfeller (or was it Vanderbilt?)

The truth is we have a bell curve of wealth. At either end there are extremes. What is the alternative? A flat line across with equal numbers in each income group? A single up and down line with everyone having exactly the same? What we don't have is what Reich calls two tiers. That would mean a curve like a saddle with peaks on each side and a valley in the middle. He's ridiculous.
