kemble, RE: I have maintained for sometime that perhaps his greatest quality as a person may be his lack of arrogance and lack of "ability" to deceive anyone...The only "deceiving" he has done is to underestimate the performance of the company he directs... And I guess that is the key reason why we disagree on the current investment merits of DELL. I certainly believe that he has this ability, and remember the analyst community being deceived about Dell's currency trading in '94. That's why I'm less willing than you to write off last quarter's fiasco with the analyst meeting ("everything's fine") and subsequent preannouncement.
