I suppose that depends on how you define "the Intel architecture." Certainly there is a LOT that isn't scalable about many of the machines with which Intel chips are typically associated, but not all of that is really Intel's doing, as you recognize.

Tony- From reading you occasionally on the LSI thread, I thought you were an engineer. I didn't realize you were an emotionally attached Wintel cheerleader to the outright exclusion of facts. Can you point to *ANY* OS on Intel that is anywhere near as scalable as Solaris on Sparc? And the reason you can't is Microsoft's fault is it?

Your Intel guys used to make a great platform for BBSs.
