I can't take Robitussin. (It's the DM - dextromethorphan without any decongestants. Dex with guaifenesin is good too - the guai is a phlegm loosener without any untoward side effects) At the recommended adult dosage, I run into unwanted hallucinogenic effects. So it's strictly narcotics for me. Fortunately I have an understanding doc who writes me promethazine/codeine syrup. I am feeling poorly all over again. Starting at noon I got that nasty achy feeling all over, and my guts are cramping. (No digestive fireworks yet. Or at all, I hope. But Helen had another Pamper grenade today - all down her legs. Eewwww.) So tomorrow's the first day of work and if I'm not feeling lots better I'm gonna sit it out. I hate being sick.
