DITC - The company manufactures telecommunications equipment, and its biggest seller is a productthat eliminates the delay or echo sometimes heard over long-distance phone calls. Per Brian Modoff, an analyst who follows the company for Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown, the market for echo cancellation is about $500 million and growing 30 percent a year. Ditech has about 10 percent of that market and is growing its business faster than the industry as a whole."
During its fiscal second quarter ended Oct. 31, Ditech earned 61 cents a share, compared with a
9-cent loss in the comparable quarter a year earlier. Analysts had been expecting 50 cents. For
the first six months, sales more than tripled to $35.8 million, and net income rose from $67,000 to $9.2 million.
During Ditech?s fiscal year ended in April, the company added 20 new customers for its echo-cancellation products. Through the first two quarters of the year, Ditech has already signed on 17. They also are involved in fiber optics. (most of this is "borrowed" from a CNBC story).
This is not and is MO:
DITC got hit badly by an early lock-up release and late tax selling on light volume and appears to be badly oversold. Might have turned the corner today. IF they keep on pace and continue to grab market share, DITC could be the big winner in 00.
Thanks for running this contest. I have printed out the current list and intend to look at all of them. What a great service you are providing us all!
