Ish:

I'll gladly cut you slack for remembering "Jack" as "Dick" (Herr Doktor Professor, I see Herr Ish approaching on Mariahilferstrasse. Are you expecting him?).

That's a GREAT tune! Caught me near the outset of my second childhood, as it were. People keep telling me that Mellencamp is a neighbor of mine. I haven't seen him.

My personal favorite on the subject is from the Bob Seger collection -- slightly harder edge, perhaps. "Night Moves" -- ".....way up firm and high.....working on mysteries without any clues......"

Hope you're enjoying a peaceful evening in the absence of "she who hasn't been posting tonight." I don't do smilies but you can go ahead and stick one on, if you want.

Mike

Yes, Ish...Dick and Dianne would have been much more Salient...

Melloncamp chose "Jack" and Dianne...Two American Kids Growin'Up in the Heartland".

"Oh yeah Life Goes on long after the Thrill of Livin' IS Gone..."

I guess either works well, but they do convey different ideas.

Dick or Jack...Jack or Dick, in the End,

MoxNix.
