Maybe this isn't convertible related short interest any longer. Maybe this is people who see the huge run up in the stock and compare it to management's fumbling the ball in the past and are betting that they will fumble again. I can certainly grant someone that argument even if I don't agree with it. Differing opinions are what make a market.

If I were a Mr. Pink type, I can think of what I would say on this thread and others to sow doubt about the stock and panic weak hands into selling. With every day that passes without a major announcement the short's case would get easier to make. Since this is my 2nd largest holding (THQI caught up and passed MRVC today), I'm obviously not going to make the short argument in public.

Looking for a better day tomorrow...
Bob

Sector, I suspect that there hedgers (both insts and individuals) out there with no info other than the price rise, trying to pick points on the chart. Seen it before, altho it is a very high-risk game.

<<I would have thought that the convertible debt related shorts would have covered long ago, and the change in MRVC's prospects should have led to significant short covering by now.>>
Your probably correct in assuming most of the conver related shorts have covered... i'd guess there's a new group of shorts, due to the increased valuation in the stock price...in short, those who think the stock price has gotten ahead of itself and are willing to bet against the big "mo".
