Not very well by her own standards but the fact she admitted her guilt probably helped lessen the fine both psychologically and financially.

She had her license suspended for 6 months then 6 months additional probation.

She has to attend classes sponsored by the North County Sheriff's Dept.

A monetary fine of $1000

....Lucky for her it was her first offense (she is an adult) because a second offense carries an automatic jail sentence according to the judge.

This judge was very good in my opinion. He REALLY laid down the consequences of scenarios IF there had been a serious or fatal accident caused by my friend.

She got the point and is very shook up about this whole ordeal and understands even though someone else prodded her into drinking it was her responsibility in the first place.

I learned a life lesson or two today also.
