Hi Katie, I didn't see it on the list, so my NASDAQ pick is WAVX.

Wave Systems will generate a global paradigm shift in E-Commerce, with their extraordinary new EMBASSY chip. It provides, secure, metered, trusted client transactions. Look for DATACASTING to become an amazing new way to purchase anything and everything digital. Embassy can be in PC's, STB's (Set Top Boxes) Smart Cards, Keyboards, any transactive device. Wave has world class leadership at the helm: Peter Sprague, who took Nat'l Semiconductor from receivership to $2 Billion Dollars!

BTW, good luck keeping up with all of these posts!

Cheers,

Wooly

Katie, there must be good reason to use the opening price as the start price as it is really the beginning price for the year. However, we all know that the start price this morning was not a good reference point. Many are due to market buy order imbalance. Take BLSW as the case, the price started at 130 1/2, but closed at 113 and change. Many of the stocks listed have similar situation.

If the starting price is used to measure the growth of stock price by year end, I think the 1999 closing price may be a better reference point. FWIW.

Richard
